Min Woo Lee produced a stunning four-shot turnaround on the second day of the BMW PGA Championship, safely securing his spot in the 36-hole cut with a course-record score.
Lee, 24, made seven birdies and two eagles on Saturday at Wentworth. A bogey on the par-5 17th hole denied him a round of 11-under-par and the outright course record.
62 has previously been shot on the West Course by Robert Karlsson in 2010, Thomas Bjorn in 2014 and Alex Noren in 2017. Lee joins this group but in an unofficial capacity.
During the second round, which was delayed until Saturday after play was suspended on Friday due to the death of Queen Elizabeth, preferred lies were in play.

This rule denied Lee's score from being included in the official record books. Nonetheless, having missed eight cuts in 12 starts on the PGA Tour in 2022, Lee was greatly encouraged by his incredible round.
"That's just golf. I had a pretty tough year this year other than the majors. I'm proud of that," Lee said.
"Wish I had played a little better in the regular tour events and yesterday looked like it was going to be another missed cut. I was like, whatever, 13th, 14th after day one. It was nice to just be with the lads and hang out and go check out Buckingham palace yesterday and just have a quiet day and chill.
"Obviously that doesn't happen often during tournaments but it was just nice to be with my friends again that I have been friends with for the last few years and see familiar faces. But yeah, just everything decided to go in the hole and it was just one of those days."
The Australian moved to tied 34th place which helped him make the adjusted 36-hole cut. Viktor Hovland and Soren Kjeldsen lead the way on 12-under-par with 18 holes left at Virginia Water.
