Quinta da Marinha hotel in Portugal set for UK travel boom

Quinta da Marinha Hotel, part of the Onyria Golf Resorts group, is set to experience a boom of UK tourists as Portugal was put on the "green list" for travel restrictions.

As part of the next phase of the easing of restrictions in England, travellers returning from a country on the green list will not need to quarantine and will only be required to take one post-arrival test.

Located in Cascais, just an hour away from Lisbon, Quinta da Marinha is a 198-room hotel that underwent a fresh makeover last year, worth â‚¬5 million.

Part of the ‘Great Hotels of the World’ portfolio, the hotel is offering an all-inclusive package for the first time during July and August of this year, with prices starting from â‚¬140 per person in a double room.

Fabulous facilities, exceptional food and drink, a free kids club and several on-site activities are all included, while golfers can make the most of the stunning Robert Trent Jones-designed par-71 golf course just a few steps from the hotel reception.

"It's fantastic news for us to be able to welcome our UK friends again," said João Pinto Coelho, the sales director at Quinta da Marinha.

"We want to offer our guests as much choice as possible to make things easy and enjoyable for them to make the most of their holiday time. We are sure we can help tailor the perfect holiday for any requirement."

Onyria Golf Resorts is a family enterprise that began in 1985, with the acquisition of a plot of land in the Quinta da Marinha, Cascais.

The group was created to undertake the integrated management of resorts, villas, hotels, golf courses and restaurants.
